iGrow is a cloud-based marketplace that connects under-employed farmers, under-utilised land and investors to produce high-quality organic food and sustainable incomes. Backers register on the platform, decide how much to invest, the amount of seeds to be planted and wait for them to grow. iGrow creates organic plantations and sells the crops directly to the customer.

How they’re disrupting

Already profitable after 18 months, iGrow has a 60% season-on-season growth, utlising a plantation space 2000 times the size of a football field, with a further 24,000 sq acres in the pipeline.

Disruption potential

In Indonesia alone there is 27 million square acres of underutilised land worth $130 billion in food agriculture.

Investments and future

They’ve received $125k in seed funding gained through the 500 Startups accelerator, and a further $100k from 500 Startups Durian. To fuel further growth and possible overseas expansion, further funding will be needed, and iGrow is currently looking for investors.
